Sony SmartWatch: Be Extra Smart

Do you want to read text messages, accept or deny calls, get updates from Facebook, Twitter, and other social networking sites, and check email messages even without having to get your phone from your bag, pocket, or armband? Now, this is possible with Sony's SmartWatch. Not only does this watch show you the time, but it also compliments your Android phone via Bluetooth connection. It acts as a touchscreen wrist remote to your Samsung, Sony, LG, HTC, or Motorola running on Android 2.1 (or higher). Thus, reading your SMS, email, and the weather is very accessible through this cool device.

The Sony SmartWatch is a very elegant dust proof, scratch proof as well as splash proof watch. It features a responsive 1.3-inch rectangle touchscreen with rounded edges and 65K colored OLED multi-touch display. The SmartWatch can vibrate to notify you of incoming alerts. It shows the user icons with the status updates, so it's also easy to keep being posted of your Facebook, Twitter, and other social hub notifications. You can see instantly who's calling through its pop-up caller ID prompt.

Moreover, it can guide you on how far you have walked, jogged, or ran as your very own fitness gear. As you exercise, you can listen to your favorite song with a wireless Bluetooth headset.

With Bluetooth 3.0, this high tech watch can wirelessly connect to your phone from a  range of 10 meters. You may either clip the Sony SmartWatch on your bag strap, use the wrist band adapter to connect it
to a standard watch wristband or choose from a variety of 20 mm soft rubber wristbands specially made for it. You can choose from black, grey, white, mint, blue, and pink wristbands. Its battery can last to three to four days of moderate usage and you can charge it via USB connection.

Let's take a look at this demonstration to have a feel of Sony's SmartWatch.

So why not give it a try, be extra smart, and give your Android phone its perfect match with Sony SmartWatch. This amazing gadget is said to be released on March with a $149 pricetag, so watch out for it.
